Winter Survival- level 2
Prerequist:
If you have taken the first Winter Survival course then Winter Survival- level 2 is next on your list to do. The basics of winter survival were covered in the first level. During winter survival level 2 we move onward into the depths of true winter skills. In this course you will be utilizing the skills learned in the first level to bring the art of winter survival into reality!
For two full day and one full night you will be in the Vermont wilderness practicing:
- winter shelter building
- fire craft in the snow
- identifying edibles
- identifying tracks
- identifying directions
- working on mental mapping
- making containers
- cooking
- seacrh and rescue signs
- energy conservation methods
- heat-loss prevention methods
- among many other vital winter survival skills!
After the first long dayof winter survival you will be spending the night in the winter shelter you have constructed. It is here in the depth of a winters night outdoors that you will learn the truth of winter survival and what it means on all levels of your reality!
Your instructor will remain with the class the entire time teaching skills and assisting students in proper technique and usage of skills.
A complete equipment list will be emailed to students upon registration. Pre-registration is required for this wilderness survival course. Pre-registration requires a $75.00 non-refundable deposit. You can make your deposit here.
Total cost for the course is $420.00. Once you pay the deposit of $75.00 the remaining cost of $345.00 can be paid below through paypal or with money order.

This is a certified wilderness survival workshop. Students who successfully complete the workshop will be mailed a Certificate of completion from Ways Of The Wild Institute.
