Fire and Shelter
Fire and Shelter are two of the most important skills to know when it comes to survival on this planet. Without Fire and Shelter we as humans wouldn’t be able to survive long.
During this course students learn the ancient connections to the element of FIRE. Practical wilderness techniques are taught for fire making in the wilderness in any weather. These techniques can be used in wilderness survival situations, camping or in your own backyard. Students are shown fire making methods as well as shown and given great detail about each and every step to successful fire making in sun, snow, rain, wind…
Not only physical fire making techniques are taught in this workshop, but also the ancient connections on many levels to the element of FIRE. Students learn how to relate and connect on deeper levels to this great element and find out how it connects to many aspects within their lives. In any wilderness living or wilderness survival situation, one needs to be able to make the deeper connections, that were known to pre-technological cultures around the globe in order to embrace the full spectrum of any technique and interaction with life outside the modern.
All living creatures require some type of shelter to survive. In this course students will be learning many different angles for primitive shelter. Not only will you be learning how to build shelters using only natural found materials but also many details of shelter requirements per environment and season. You will also be learning the deeper meanings of what shelter is and how in your skills and shelter work connects to many levels of your being, past and present.
Don’t forget that you will be spending a night in your shelter too!
