Wilderness Ways- Fire Making
Fire in wilderness survival- 4 hours
During the course of this workshop students learn the ancient connections to the element of FIRE. Practical wilderness techniques are taught for fire making in the wilderness in any weather. These techniques can be used in wilderness survival situations, camping or in your own backyard. Students are shown fire making methods as well as shown and given great detail about each and every step to successful fire making in sun, snow, rain, wind…
Not only physical fire making techniques are taught in this workshop, but also the ancient connections on many levels to the element of FIRE. Students learn how to relate and connect on deeper levels to this great element and find out how it connects to many aspects within their lives. In any wilderness living or wilderness survival situation, one needs to be able to make the deeper connections, that were known to pre-technological cultures around the globe in order to embrace the full spectrum of any technique and interaction with life outside the modern.
After techniques are shown students then begin their own practice of the skills under the guidance of White Wolf, the Alpha Guide of the Institute.
By the time this workshop is finished students have a solid foundation of skills for making fire in the wilderness for use in wilderness survival, wilderness living, camping or backyard fun.
