Medicine Drumming- 

And the protective art of elemental alignment

This workshop covers the importance of utilizing the drum in the correct way when implementing it as a tool for meditations and spirituality as in the “Medicine Person” style. My Teacher, Meechgalanne used the drum many times during ceremony and meditation when I was training with him. He would go into great detail before hand about what the drum is and what its deeper connections are in the Medicine world of spirit. He always stressed the importance of utilizing the drum energy properly or else it would actually create dangerous energy openings in whoever was participating that could allow things in that should not be.

In this workshop students learn  the following:

-about the drum and its deeper connections to the Medicine World of Spirit

-how to properly use the correct energy to create the desired state for drumming

-how to use energy as a form of protection during drumming

-how to control the energy centers of the body during drumming

-how to utilize the drum energy to align with elemental energies

By the time this workshop is finished students  have a solid foundation of techniques to work the Medicine Drum in the path of spirituality to practice within the context of their own lives.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
