Recession Proof Skills
Recession Proof Skills
3/9/09
With the current economic system as it is, I have heard many people talking about preparing for the worst. Now through asking them what they meant by “the worst”, I found they were speaking of another depression, similar to the one that swept through in the 30′s. Even now in the current recession, many people are out of work as unemployment rates keep rising. If we look at the global economic and political events right now it does not give us much hope of a sift upturn as so many hope for.
I am not known to be a “doom and gloom” type of individual because I always see the promise in any situation. There is always light and hope. I do not fear the economic downfall, nor do I fear the political strife around the world. The one thing that keeps so many in fear of all the modern chaos and unstable civilizations, that cover the globe, is lack of practical knowledge. Think for a moment about what it is that so many fear during these “hard times”. They fear losing their jobs. Why? Because if they lose their jobs they lose income and thus are prone to losing their main support systems in life- shelter, water, heat, food and protection. Now think deeper. pre-technological societies did not have the modern economic system and yet they fared quite well for far longer then the modern industrial world has existed. Why is this so? It is so because they had the knowledge that allowed them to live with the Earthmother and did not have to rely upon a modern system of technological advancements. Just think if you had the skills to keep you and your family in shelter with clean water, good food and protection without having to rely upon the modern world. Fear would quickly diminish. You would regain your personal power and root foundation. The modern chaos and severe instability would no longer hold power over you.
This knowledge is what we here at Ways Of The Wild Institute teach. We believe in helping individuals regain their personal power by way of knowledge and skill. The sills taught here at Ways Of The Wild Institute are immune to the failing economic system, the stresses of the modern world and the instability and lies of the global political game. The skills and knowledge students learn here are far older then any modern technology and will remain even if the modern civilization falls to ruin. These skills cannot be taken from you nor lost in the rubble. Once your personal power is regained and you have the skills to truly live without modern aid, you have nothing to fear because you “know”.
If you are one who seeks this knowledge and has a hope of regaining what is rightfully yours, learning the skills that can help you, your family and friends survive another depression or a collapse of society, then look at what Ways Of The Wild Institute has to offer. And if you find yourself saying, “I don’t have the time”, ask yourself, “Will that comment feed me, shelter me and protect me if it all falls apart”?
It is not just about surviving, it is about truly living!

I agree that a big part of the fear people have is founded in their disconnection from what is REAL. It is critical to all our futures for the masses to come (even one or two at a time) to recover their birthrights. I also think that this “depression” everyone fears can be treated the same way it is solved with individual humans. A depressed … Read More individual shuns light, interaction, physical activity, and finds smiling to be grotesque – it is truly the only time I know when the healthiest thing to do is to behave counter-intuitively. When an economy is depressed – the instinct is to be still, wait it out, & hold tight to every penny or asset. Again – the better course would be to take some deep breaths, let those shoulders come down a bit, and begin to “circulate” your currency (whatever it may be) – and take ACTION to change the situation. The news calls for fear but the situation requires just the opposite.

Mindfulness and an understanding of permanence or in the case of recession or depression, non permanence are key. We are all just creatures taking a journey around the sun. If we are mindful and not caught up in our possessions, then we will truly be prepared.
May peace prosper!
